Research Methods: Heuristic Evaluation

Timeline: Six weeks

Project Goals: Determine usability issues, complete user research, determine design solutions.

Process: Kent State University’s registrar office received complaints from students about the usability and design of the registration system.  Key problems addressed with the project included interface clarity, ease of use, steps required to complete class registration and finally the aesthetic design of the interface. Worked with the registrar office to determine needs and completed user research to determine solutions to problems outlined in stakeholder interviews.
