Project Goals: To test the accuracy and ease of online ordering through Papa John’s.
Process: I designed a test screener to ensure a mix of users. I also designed a task-based usability test to test the ease of use of the online ordering process for the client based on their business goals.
Papa John’s User Screener
In this screener, we are looking for users who are computer literate and have ordered food online before and that would be considered “moderate users” or those who order food online once a month or less. Demographical questions are to ensure we have a mix of participants.

Papa John’s User Participant Tasks
Scenario:
You have eight friends coming over to watch the game and want to order Papa John’s pizza online for delivery to your home.
Please complete the following tasks in order:
- Complete a Google search to find Papa John’s online order website. (This question looks at user’s ability to find the online order system)
- Order your favorite pizza as a guest. (Can they find the guest function?)
- Sign into account using given access information. (How easy is the sign in the process)
- Order a pizza with two different toppings on each side. (Can the user order a combo pizza)
- Add an extra large pizza to your order. (How easy is it to add another pizza from the order screen)
- Add a promo code to your order. (Is this easy to use? In the right location?)
- Review your order. (Did the promo code work?)
- A friend changes their mind on toppings. Change the toppings for the pizza with two different toppings on each side. (How easy is it for the user to 1. Modify order, 2. How easy is it to reorder a combo pizza?)
- Complete order purchase. (Can the user navigate the final steps easily?)
- Half the group ran into a traffic accident and still need to pick up ice. Modify delivery time. (Ease of modifying existing orders?)
